Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) South Africa has introduced additional 4 models of latest cars

Ford MotorFord Motor Company (NYSE:F) South Africa has introduced a new series of model to increase its number from eight to 12. The new additions are the 2.0 TDCi Trend six-speed manual five-door hatch, 2.0 TDCi Trend six-speed PowerShift auto five-door hatch, 1.6 Ti-VCT Ambiente six-speed PowerShift auto four-door sedan and 2.0 GDi Trend five-speed manual four-door sedan.

Ford Motor (F) Marketing Manager, Gavin Golightly said that their company’s Focus has always been on smart technologies and engaging dynamics that can give rider a rewarding car to drive. New technologies in the car like Ford SYNC that is an advanced software platform provides hands-free voice activation system in the car. The new technology is now also available on the Trend and Sport derivatives that enable the users to connect a compatible mobile phone or digital media player to their Focus via Bluetooth or USB. Gavin Golightly further added that they are aware what customers want and what are their desires and they tailor the Ford cars according to the customer’s expectations.

The SYNC system is designed to understand 150 voice commands with variations in accents and vocabulary. Another capability of SYNC is to retrieve text messages and reads them aloud. The driver can also send a reply using voice by selecting from predefined list of 15 responses while on the move.

The Ambiente, Trend and Sports models have state of the art refueling system as well as new wheel designs. The Ford offers cars both in petrol and diesel engines.

The 1.6 litre Duratec Ti-VCT has a max power output of 92kW @ 6000rpm and 159Nm @ 4000rpm. CO2 emissions are 145g/km with an average fuel consumption of 6.2 liters per 100km. The 2.0 liter petrol engine produces 125kW @ 200Nm. CO2 emissions are 154g/km with an average fuel consumption of 6.6 liters per 100km.The 2.0 litre Duratorq TDCi car produces 120kW @ 3750rpm and 340Nm @ 2000 to 3250rpm. CO2 emissions are calculated at 134g/km with an average fuel consumption of 5.1 liters per 100km.

Another capability of Ford’s engines is that they can be paired by PowerShift transmission. Ford Motor (NYSE:F)’s dual clutch PowerShift automatic system consists of two manual transmissions working in parallel. Each system has its own independent clutch unit and is controlled via efficient computer based technology and electromechanical actuators that shift the gears.

All Ford Focus models come with a warranty and service plan  i-e four year or 120,000 km warranty, five year Corrosion warranty and five year or 90 000km Service Plan.

Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) has also put aside its rivalry with HOLDEN to save collapsed parts supplier Autodom whose factories were shut down last Thursday. The auto maker companies have agreed to take on Autodoms estimated $6.5 million debt. It has been reported that Autodom’s previous management have been dismissed and in near future company will be broken up into smaller sections. Ford and Holden will not control the parts supply operations, but will ensure smooth operations of factories at different locations.

In current trading session Ford Motor (NYSE:F) stocks are trading at $11.29 by increasing $0.12 or 1.07%.
