Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) updated its Mapping services for mobile devices to make itself a strong competitor of Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL).
Maps on Google Inc. (GOOG)’s Android devices have been updated with even better improvements on listings for public transportation options in nearly 500 cities all over the world.
For some specific places all over the world Google Inc. (GOOG) is also providing special navigating system, this gives an advantage to Google’s running Android operating software.
The smartphones having Google Inc. (GOOG) Android operating software includes Samsung Electronics Co., Sony Corp., HTC Corp.
The immediate upgrade in Google mobile maps came after Apple Inc. move to sideline Google’s maps as the automatic navigation service on the iPhone and the iPad.
Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) realizes that Google is a major rival in smartphone industry because Apple will loose handsome revenue from mobile advertising and valuable insights if the users of most popular smartphone services take the mapping services from other brand.
In the upcoming iPhone, it is speculated that Apple will use its own mapping and would not rely on third party services. But Google Inc. (GOOG) with these up gradations claimed to have best mobile mapping services worldwide.
