Taylor Swift’s music video for her new hit “We are Never Ever Getting Back Together” – is the first ever to be shot in true 4K using Sony Corporation (SNE)’s F65 CineAlta™ digital motion picture camera. This video was shot before going live on Aug 30th at Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City, Calif.
In this video, Swift worked with director Declan Whitebloom and veteran DP Paul Laufer, and was supported by the full resources of Sony Electronics’ Digital Motion Picture Center (DMPC) and Sony Pictures’ Colorworks DI facility, providing their expertise on every aspect from pre-production to the final Digital Intermediate work.
Taylor herself was impressed with Sony Corporation’s technology, how it helped her to tell the story of her song through the best visual, audio and video experience and ultimately create a deeper, and more intimate connection with her fans.
The Director of the song, Whitebloom said that working with this camera in 4K completed and really accented his vision, the F65 seamlessly moved into the workflow and allowed great latitude with the colors and the depth of the picture. It’s given us a lot of bang for our buck.
Taylor Swift said, Sony 4K lets her fans experience something brand new, she loves saying to them, hey, this is a cool, amazing thing she found, how do you like it?
