Tenet Healthcare plans investment in Sierra Providence East Medical Center, UnitedHealth to be placed in DJIA

Health Care CorporationTenet Healthcare Corporation (NYSE:THC) recently announced an investment of nearly $67 million in Sierra Providence East Medical Center in El Paso, Texas. This investment is part of company’s efforts to support the hospital’s mission to deliver high-quality care to the east-side community.

This investment will be used to construct a four-story tall tower in addition to expanding the hospital’s existing patient tower and emergency department. The new hospital will cover more than 145,000 square feet. The important thing in the expansion is the four-story tower as its construction will add 30 surgical beds and 30 medical beds.

The pharmaceutical products manufacturer did well on the trading floors. During the last day trade THC closed $5.76 after surging nearly 7.26%. Company’s 52 week range remained $ 3.46 to $6.05 with its market capitalization touching $2.4 billion.

Company’s monthly share price volatility is 3.15% while in assets turnover rates its ROA remained 0.89% with return on equity at 4.68%. However company’s current share price is above its 52 week low by 66.47% and below from its 52 week high by 4.79%. THC holds nearly 416.79 million shares outstanding while its shares float touches nearly 412.62 million.

UnitedHealth Group Inc. (NYSE:UNH) recently disclosed that company intends to replace Kraft Foods Inc (KFT) in the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) after the close of trading on Friday, September 21.

The Kraft Foods’ plan to spin-off its North American grocery business primarily prompted the index change. This will lead to renaming of company as Kraft Foods Group, Inc on October 1, 2012. Company said that the proposed change will be effective with the opening of trading on Monday, September 24. Upon the completion of spin-off, Kraft Foods Inc will be renamed Mondelez International, Inc.

Company’s monthly share price volatility is 1.55% while in assets turnover rates its ROA remained 7.53% with return on equity at 18.52%. In addition company’s current share price is above its 52 week low by 33.16% and below from its 52 week high by 10.34%. UNH holds nearly 1.03 billion shares outstanding while its shares float touches nearly 1.03 billion.
