Tesla Motors (NASDAQ:TSLA) today is going to open the first store at Roosevelt Field Mall in Garden City, New York, and will open 9 new locations in North America.
Tesla’s allows the clients to design their own Tesla Model S, Tesla latest electric car. After designing, it is viewed on 85-inch video wall in the company’s customer design studios.
Week after the opening of Roosevelt Field outlet the company is planning another at Boston area at Natick Mall, followed by another one in the Chicago area at Westfield Old Orchard.
Other locations are planned to open in the months of October and November which include The Mall at Short Hills, Morristown, New Jersey; Lincoln Road, Miami Beach, Florida; at Westfield Garden State Plaza, Paramus, New Jersey; Westfield University Town Center, San Diego, California; Tyson’s Corner, McLean, Virginia and Westfield Topanga, Topanga, California.
After completing these 10 openings, TSLA has planed additional 34 worldwide and 24 locations in North America. Tesla has a mega plan for expanding its retail network into the year 2013 to increase its customer number.
Model S is an electric car which is design with three battery pack options, its 85 kWh battery Model S after driving 265 miles consume a fuel economy rating of 89MPGe. Model S, creating an ultra-low center of gravity, body is made from aluminum; the vehicle has no internal combustion engine or transmission tunnel.
Suntech Power Holdings Co., Ltd. (NYSE:STP) has been given alert from New York Stock Exchange, that the company’s American Depositary Shares, or ADSs, was less than $1.00 per ADS and according to NYSE that STP price criteria did not match with the standard of NYSE’s.
According to NYSE rules, it will grant the company a period of six months after the notification in which the company should raised its ADSs having at least $1.00 as a closing share price on the last trading day. The Company should also regain its position to have an average closing price of $ 1.00 in the 30 trading day period closing on the last trading day of that month.
