Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ) Set to Expand its Cable Business with Time Warner Cable Inc (NYSE:TWC)

Verizon WirelessVerizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ) is set to expand its cable business scope with the expansion of its cable “quad play” deals. Under the quad play deals, Verizon Communications Inc. (VZ) is offering customers of Time Warner Cable Inc (NYSE:TWC) or Cox Communications, Inc to sign up for both Verizon wireless and cable services through one step.

Verizon Communications Inc. (VZ) is offering this deal for customers of Time Warner Cable Inc (TWC) in areas of Arizona, New York, California, Texas and Massachusetts. The same applies to the customers of Cox Communications; they will be able to do get the same services in San Diego and Santa Barbara, Calif.

These new offering to customers are a part of Time Warner Cable’s deal of $3.6 billion spectrum purchase, which Verizon (VZ) announced in December.  Under the terms and conditions of that deal, Verizon agreed to buy 122 Advanced Wireless Systems (AWS) spectrum licenses from SpectrumCo, LLC, through a joint effort with Comcast Corporation (NASDAQ:CMCSA), Time Warner Cable, and Bright House Networks.
